Pricing

One service. Two transparent fees.

Financial planning and investment management, run together as one plan.

Financial planning fee

$9,500 /year

  • Flat. Same every year.
  • Covers the full planning relationship.

Your financial plan (the $9,500 annual financial planning fee)

  • A written plan with prioritized action items, built on a custom financial model you can see and use
  • Retirement and cash-flow projections, updated as your life changes
  • Tax planning coordinated with the plan, not bolted on after the fact
  • Tax preparation and filing through our partner accounting firm (billed separately)
  • Equity compensation strategy: ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, and ESPPs
  • Real estate and education funding analysis
  • Insurance optimization: life, disability, and long-term care review
  • Estate planning coordinated with independent attorneys
  • 4 to 6 meetings a year with your financial planner, a CFP® and CPA, plus support through the year

Beyond the core service (separately scoped work). Some situations call for work beyond the core service. International estate structuring and business transition planning are the two most common. When your situation calls for one of them, we scope that work as a separate engagement at additional cost, and we agree on the fee in advance, before any work begins. Nothing gets added to your bill without your sign-off.

Investment management

$0 on your first $1,000,000

  • Billed separately by asset tier.
  • $0 to $1M $0
  • $1M to $2M 0.95%
  • $2M to $10M 0.75%
  • $10M to $25M 0.50%
  • Over $25M 0.35%

Above the first $1,000,000, the rate steps down in tiers as your assets grow, so assets in the higher tiers are charged at lower rates.

Your first $1,000,000 of managed assets carries no investment management fee at all. That is deliberate: consolidating your accounts with us adds nothing to your bill until your portfolio crosses the million mark.

Your investments (investment management, billed by asset tier; none on your first $1,000,000)

  • Portfolio design and asset allocation matched to the plan
  • Investment selection using low-cost, index-based ETFs
  • Rebalancing and tax-loss harvesting
  • Performance reporting and cash and liquidity management
  • Accounts held in your name at an independent custodian

Estimate your investment management fee

Investment management fee
$4,750
Effective investment management rate
0.32%

Estimate. Investment management only, per the schedule above. The flat $9,500 annual financial planning fee is separate and applies at every asset level.

Fees are blended tiered and billed monthly in arrears. The investment management fee schedule applies only to passive, index-based ETF portfolios. It does not cover active management, individual securities, or customized non-model strategies.

No commissions. No product sales. The only money we make is the fees you pay us, which is the whole point of fee-only.

Are we a good fit?

Fit assessment Wealth Habits / intake

This fits

Fit Your finances have real moving parts: equity compensation, a business, cross-border wealth, a concentrated position, or a liquidity event on the horizon
Fit You want investment decisions tied to a full plan rather than managed in isolation
Fit You would rather delegate the portfolio and the coordination to a CFP® and CPA in one seat
Fit You want to know if and when work can become optional, and what it takes to get there.
Fit You retired within the last five years and want withdrawals, taxes, and healthcare decisions run as one plan.

Different arrangement

By arrangement You lean toward active management, individual securities, or a custom, non-model strategy. The core portfolios are passive, index-based ETFs billed on the schedule above. Active or custom strategies are available under a separate fee arrangement, scoped case by case.
By arrangement You want investment management without the financial planning. The integrated service is how we work best, but management on its own is available: passive portfolios are billed on the same tiered schedule, and custom strategies fall under the separate arrangement above.

Not for us

Not for us You are looking for a single one-time answer rather than an ongoing planning relationship
Not for us You want hourly advice or a single-topic, limited-scope project, like a one-off plan review or a standalone tax question. We do not bill by the hour or take limited-scope engagements.
Not for us You want financial planning with no investment management attached. The two run together as one relationship, and we do not offer the planning on its own.
